Fall is festival time with your Halloween parties, harvest festivals, celebrations, Thanksgiving, etc. If you want to serve some new non-alcoholic beverages this year, here are some recipes for hot and cold drinks. Try this Honey Punch Party, which is a honey citrus punch to get some ginger ale fizz. Beverages hot to taste the flavor of coffee or Hot Spiced Cider Butterscotch Debbie.

FESTIVAL OF HONEY PUNCH

2 cups boiling water
3 / 4 cup honey
4 cups cranberry juice
2 cups orange juice
1 lemon juice
1 quarts ginger ale
Ice cubes
Sliced lemons, limes, oranges and or strawberries, optional

Combine the boiling water and honey. Stir to dissolve honey. Mix in the refrigerator. In a large punch bowl, mix the juice. Add the honey water. Just before serving add the ginger ale and ice cubes. Float fruit slices on top fittings, if desired.

Yield: Makes 12 servings

BUTTERSCOTCH Flavored Coffee

8 cups of freshly brewed coffee
Sweet butter 1 cup baking chips
Cream 1 / 2 cup heavy
6 tablespoons sugar, or sugar to taste
Whipped cream
butter toffee chips additional for garnish if desired

In a 2-heat fourth pitcher test, pour in the butter caramel chips and add hot coffee. Stir until chips are melted. Add the cream and sugar, stirring to blend. Pour coffee into cups service. Top each cup with a little whipped cream and a little butter caramel chips, if desired.

Debbie HOT SPICED CIDER

8 cups apple juice or juice
1 / 2 cup brown sugar
3 3-inch cinnamon sticks
1 / 2 teaspoon ground allspice
Pinch of salt
1 / 8 teaspoon nutmeg
Additional cinnamon sticks for garnish, optional

In a large saucepan, combine the cider or juice, brown sugar, 3 branches cinnamon, pepper, salt and nutmeg, bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Discard cinnamon sticks. Use additional cinnamon sticks as stirrers in the cups, if desired.

Yield: about 1 / 2 gallon
