The first time I heard it was from Harry Beckwith, when I saw him speak. It made me think and made me a promise to do FIRST more.

Last night was one of the first. British Bar in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has a higher roof garden which is covered with grass. On Saturdays and Sundays are lawn bowling, and at night on Mondays during the month of August show movies in the top of the roof. The movie is showing in a block of blank bricks at the Doubletree Hotel.

You grab a bucket that has napkins, forks, tomato sauce and a number on the side and plunk down on the grass with his blanket. We call for dinner and drinks and ate right on the lawn waiting for the movie to start.

Then at 8:30 AM the magic begins. Since we lay on the rug with our 3 children, ate popcorn and watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Right there on the roof, in a metropolitan city full of my children came to enjoy a completely new experience. To me, that brought me back to my childhood days with the drive-in movies.

Remember those? Mom and Dad would show a large bag of popcorn and put some pop in a cooler and head us in our van for the drive-in. The big problem was when they were old enough to go and was on the roof of the car.

We would look down and make faces at our parents when the front windshield. I'm sure that adds much to his experience of the film.

The night before experienced anything first … And I loved it!

La Rioja is certainly larger wine region of Spain. Let me paraphrase. La Rioja is undoubtedly the largest region of Spain red wine. This region of northern Spain produces relatively little white wine and, unlike the red, white Rioja rarely go for much money. Traditionally, whites Rioja were between 2-5 years in oak barrels and were slightly oxidized. But tastes change and you will not find many of these brown and white wine tasting candy. The wine reviewed below comes from Viura, white grape of the larger region. Let's start by quoting the marketing materials. Tasting notes: pale lemon yellow, aromas of mineral, green apple and pear, dry, light to medium body, crisp acidity, fresh flavors of citrus and pear. How serve: Serve with appetizers or seafood. And now for my reactions.

In the early drafts of the acid was predominant, and tasted a little green (green) and apples. With schmaltz (fat) herring in oil seemed apples ripen a bit. The original meal consisted of vegetarian lasagna box covered with grated parmesan cheese. Wine was refreshing, if somewhat thin. As the meal progressed the wine regained some of its strength. With a high quality of vanilla, chocolate coated ice cream bar became in the wine slightly sweet, but its fruit is almost absent.

The next meal was a hot climate do not light the stove, microwave, centered around food reheated Commercially prepared sweet and sour chicken wings grilled with a potato knish (potato and onion fried dough), potato croquettes, and lots of hot sauce. But all in all this wine was a little too absent.

My final beef involved MATCHING Shanks slowly cooked with sliced potatoes and chopped tomatoes. The wine was acidic and the apple flavor was predominant. There was definitely a lack of balance. One might have hoped that the acidity of wine mesh with the acidity of tomatoes, but did not.

I finished the bottle with two cheeses. When combined with a fruity wine was Havarti with notes of pear in the finish. When combined with a Swiss (Emmenthaler) flavor pear became predominant. This was one of the best wine and cheese combination I've had in a long time, perhaps because the Swiss cheese was so good.

The verdict end. I would not buy this wine again. Most pairs of food fell short.
